A Misty Morning at the River Brathay

I was out early on Wednesday morning. The forecast wasn't ideal, just v.cold (actually -10C).

I hung around waiting for the sunrise to hit the two oaks in the photo. As the sun reached the valley it kicked off the mist around the water.

The lower part of the trees are reflected in the river. Further back in the photo a line of trees are starting to catch the first rays of the sun, taking on a golden hue. The two main tree are two large oaks, a rope swing hangs beneath one of the trees. Behind the trees a patch of mist is highlighted in warm light by the sun whilst the rest of the photo has a cold mainly grey/blue hue.
