Literally just had to block someone replying to an ENTIRE THREAD about *why* Harris got 10M less votes than Biden saying "Harris got less votes than Biden so that's why I'm right that it was sexism and racism" and ignoring all the posts about Biden being on pace to give up 400 EC votes to Trump on the same platform despite being A) a dude and B) whiter than a packet of table sugar.

@AnarchoNinaWrites What I wonder is if Harris could ever have distanced herself enough from the previous 4 years. Maybe the result was baked in by the anger and despair over such an ineffectual presidency which blew so many opportunities to make a stand against fascism, genocide, or even just try to make people’s lives a bit more pleasant.
@seb321 My problem with the theory that it was a done deal is that Joe Biden in 2020 ran on a platform far left of who he had ever been in political power. The guy who passed the crime bill, vociferously supported Iraq, loves cops, hugs segregationist Republicans, and hates migrants, ran on ending the wars, reigning in police violence, dismantling the migrant jails, and punishing nazis and won.
I can't prove a counterfactual, but I think Harris could have done the same MORE credibly than Biden

We have a lot of good things in this country because the government feared mass political action by common people. I can't help but think about how BLM protests were happening during the 2020 election. As soon as those ended they were very proud to support police again.
