Sincerely wanting your opinions about this persistent ad I am seeing on a news site. Mine are:
1. Isn’t this a rather unpleasant portrait?
2. The red bag doesn’t look more appealing in this ad.
3. What is the purpose of using an androgynous model?
4. Who is this ad targeted to?
5. Is the view outside supposed to look like a view of a planet off in space?
6. Doesn’t this image look sad and lonely?

As you can tell, I’m mystified here.

Saks advertising with an androgynous thin model, seated on a rug in front of windows. Model wears simple chemise, nude color and spaghetti straps, holding a bright red purse/bag in front of the bent knees and legs. PRADA is the fashion brand.

And yeah, you’re not wrong, the image is strange.
