We can’t afford to waste food and fibre.
Following our 2023 proposal, last night the European Parliament and the Council agreed to:
Cut food waste by 10% in processing and manufacturing & 30% per person in retail and consumption;
Encourage donation of unsold food;
Charge producers for their waste and low textile durability to fund collection, sorting, and recycling.

And ban adding stretch
Jeans with stretch last me 1-3 years, while I don't even notice the ones without wearing out.
Worst part is that adding stretch makes them practically unrecyclable too.
