Interesting story - and kudos to you for diving into a record type that you were not really familiar with! In my experience the #52ancestors challenge often entices us to do that.
@KottalGenealogy Thanks! Working in San Francisco pre-1906 is challenging. A lot of records just don't exist so you have to be on the lookout for alternatives.
