remind me of people who stay in abusive relationships with a childish, petulant, ignorant, racist, violent, selfish, greedy partner because, "They're really nice when they aren't drunk, high, fighting with their GF/BF/kids/employer, getting fired, losing bets or any number of other "extenuating" circumstances." Why are people so insecure they feel the need to be degraded, humiliated and abused?
