"A Cancer In America"

Fox News host Jesse Watters on future plans regarding Greenland:

“And being friendly to the world is what got us in this mess. We're not in high school. We don't need friends. Every country puts their interests first, and when our interests align, we can do business. And when they don't - that's life. If we have to burn down a few bridges with Denmark to take Greenland… we're big boys - we dropped eight bombs on Japan and now they're our top ally

@Free_Press Dropping nukes on a country on the verge of defeat is much different than dropping nukes on countries and alliances that also possess nukes. ' critical thinking facilities have been nuked by too much coke, booze and bravado.

A country near defeat which we then spent decades rebuilding.

@Yoshi @Free_Press

@dogfox Which was better than what we did to who we beat into the ground, put a foot on their necks and continue to do so today.

@Free_Press

@dogfox @Yoshi @Free_Press Japan was near defeat, but it probably wasn't going to just give up and surrender. The Japanese military and citizens were at a point where they could no longer fight on the open seas, and a homeland invasion would have been an absolute disaster for Japanese civilians and US service people.

Sometimes an excessive show of force is needed to overcome the illusion of fighting on gallantly.

Vance undermines decades of US diplomacy - protectors of the free world indeed.

@rhempel Fair enough but I think we're talking about the difference between strategy and tactics. Using a nuke to end a war is a tactic. Threatening use of a nuke to force compliance is a strategy. Bottom line, (grifter qanon pricks) are idiots.

@dogfox @Free_Press

@Yoshi @dogfox @Free_Press Today the threat of nukes has some historical context - even if there are very few survivors left.

In 1945 such a bomb was literally unimaginable.

We do, however, agree on who the grifters are :-)
