The Zen Lady

Chipmunks at Rainbow Curve, Rocky Mountain National Park

These little critters are fast and don't sit still for very long. Managed to get these 4 shots where there actually was a chipmunk in the frame and not a complete blur! 🤣

Top photo shows a chipmunk in a "starting" position like a track runner. Next photo catches the take off. Third photo catches the chipmunk making a sharp turn to the left and last chipmunk making a broad jump off a rock. These little critters are about the size of one's hand with fingers extended. They have very pointy faces with racing stripes from ears to nose around the eyes and racing stripes on their backs. The stripes are dark brown offset by off white bands with overall fur color a rich reddish tan.
