The US has no dedicated high speed rail lines (the north east is a shit show, we have “upgraded” lines which do not travel at high speeds for many reasons)…China, Europe, Russia, Japan, and Monaco all have high speed lines.
They’ve been around since 1964.
In 1903, a train went 128.4 miles an hour and on the front range in 2023, we’re fighting to get passenger rail that’s slower than driving.
Our infrastructure is embarrassing.
How about high speed rail?
